Boonslick Chordbusters perform with the Columbia Fifth Grade Honors Choir at Tan-Tar-A

The Boonslick Chordbusters were invited to perform with Columbia's Fifth Grade Honors Choir at the 65th annual Missouri Music Educators Association Conference, held at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, MO January 23-25, 2003.

Performing at the Conference is a highly sought-after honor, and the Fifth Grade Honors Choir has certainly earned this opportunity with a history of quality performances, and the group did not disappoint the attendees.

A group of 15 Chordbusters made the trek to Osage Beach to perform "Simple Melody" with the Honors Choir, a slightly different arrangement of the piece which the groups performed together on the Chordbusters' 2002 Christmas show.  The Honors Choir performed a total of eight pieces, ranging from traditional folk songs to Irving Berlin to Beethoven, and received a standing ovation at the end of their performance.  The photo below was taken during the performance of "Simple Melody":
