About our director

Jazz Rucker completed his undergraduate work at the Univeristy of Missouri. He received his degree in Music Education under Dr. Wendy Sims, Dr. Marci Major and Dr. Paul Crabb. Jazz was the director of Mizzou’s premiere a cappella group, Add9 and has been guest conductor of Columbia Public Schools 5th Grade Honor Choir for 3 years.  He serves as a Music Director for Theater Reaching Young People and Schools (TRYPS). He enjoys being a clinician for choirs of all ages. Jazz started his public school teaching career with Columbia Public Schools as the Music Specialist at Lange Middle School in the fall of 2011 and will open Battle High School as the Director of Vocal Music in 2013.
